Large print
You can use your browser to enlarge the size of the text. Select your browser from the following list for details, or refer to the online help for your particular browser if it's not listed here.
All browsers have fairly comprehensive access tools, usually found under Tools/Options, Edit/Preferences or File/Preferences depending on the browser.
arcadea recommends Firefox for security, flexibility and access.
If you are using Internet Explorer 7
You can adjust the size of the text in two ways:
- Go to View/Text Size
- Select the size you want from "Smallest" to "Largest"
- "Medium" sets the text size to the default of the website.
or
hold down the Control key (Ctrl) and either
use the mouse wheel or
the "+" or "-" keys
to zoom in or out (note: this enlarges images as well).
If you are using Firefox (recommended)
You can adjust the size of the text in two ways:
- Go to View/Text Size
- Select "Increase" or "Decrease"
- "Normal" sets the text size to the default of the website.
or
hold down the Control key (Ctrl) and either
use the mouse wheel or
the "+" or "-" keys (note Ctrl + "0" [zero] resets the text size to normal)
Opera offers a comprehensive range of user settings. For quick results use the dropdown "Zoom" button in the top right hand corner of the window;
or
- Go to View/Zoom
- Select the size you want
- "100%" sets the text size to the default of the website
or
use the "+" or "-" keys to zoom in or out
or
hold down the Control key (Ctrl) and use the mouse wheel to zoom in or out
(note Ctrl and the "+" key or "-" key zooms in or out in 100% steps)
If you are using Netscape 6 or 7
- Go to "View..."
- Click on "Text Size/Zoom (xx%)"
- Select desired size
Netscape 7 allows you to programme your mouse wheel (Windows only - sorry Mac users) to change the text size.
- "Edit/Preferences/Advanced/Mousewheel.."
- Set the options you prefer
