Disabed Artist's Groups

During 2011 alongside a raft of new developments Arcadea will begin work to develop a new artistic policy and programme.

These will include three key aims:
1. That the artistic direction of Arcadea is led by disabled artists.
2. That we support the regions disabled artists to make the best work they can.
3. That we promote/show this work.

All three will be key to the success of the artistic aspects of our work.

In order to achieve this we we propose to establish (initially) three artists groups, centred loosely around performance, writing and visual art. We are looking for members comprised of professional and aspiring professional artists as well as those working as artists but whose benefits prevent them from being paid for this work.
